A concise encyclopedia AND scale model of the Solar System in one!
The distances from the Sun to planets, dwarf planets and many thousands of other Solar System objects are unimaginably large! You need a scale model to comprehend those distances.
This basic set of the Solar System scale model consists of 32 cards: for the Sun, the eight planets, five dwarf planets, several ice dwarfs (KBO's) and other small objects, specific area's of the Solar System (like the Asteroid Belt and the Oort Cloud), stars in the neighbourhood and more. See here. Besides, these is a card with general information about this scale model. The cards are 9.6 cm wide and 11.8 cm high.
Hang or place the cards at the correct, stated scale distances and you have created your own Planet Walk of at least 45 m length (up to Neptune; or 101 m up to dwarf planet Eris.
The supplemental set of the Solar System scale model (MDL-SS2), with 24 cards of more exciting objects, makes your Planet Walk complete!
